The housing of the IR variant is an older version in which the LEDs are placed to the left of the Wemos. There is no window in the lid for this, so it is necessary to print in white.
The IR LED sits on a small 4×4 hole board that locks into the housing.
Variant IR – Control
Instead of the buzzer, an IR LED can be used for remote control of devices. A direct connection of the LED to a Wemos output brings too little range. Therefore, the following circuit is recommended, which can be easily built on a 4×4 hole grid board. The IR LED must protrude about 1.8cm from the board and then fits into the hole in the housing cover.

For the control, however, the IR command codes of the device to be controlled are required. The software Tasmota used knows some commands from devices, but usually the commands have to be read from the original remote control. The easiest way to do this is via Tasmota and an IR sensor that is connected to D6 of the Wemos. In Tasmota, D6 still has to be set to IR receive.
